The Next Generation 36-ton size class excavators from Caterpillar are here to deliver more choices and increased efficiency. Lowering operating costs in the 36-ton size class, this new generation also lowers fuel and maintenance costs and improves operator comfort. The 336 and 336 GC also offer unique combinations of features designed for contractor’s individual productivity goals.

CASE Construction Equipment recently unveiled the new 836C and 856C, designed to maximize productivity and performance, as a part of their new C Series of motor graders. These new models are compliant with Tier 4 Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) engine technology, which increases fuel efficiency, lowers exhaust temperatures, and eliminates the need for regeneration. The new motor graders also features new horsepower ratings, weights, and feature-driven grading solutions, as well as the ability to choose between All Wheel Drive (AWD) configurations.

The all new Cat D6 dozer is the world’s first high drive electric drive dozer, which offers up to 35% better fuel efficiency and reduced upkeep costs. This redesigned, purpose-built, VPAT dozer offers best-in-class grading and new levels of efficiency and performance, with choices of Electric Drive or Fully automatic powertrain, as well as updated technology features to help operators stay focused and be more productive. Enhanced customer profitability is coupled with comfort in these dozers as well, with a range of configuration choices to help customers optimize machine performance.

Ammann has announced that their new ARX 91 Articulated Tandem Roller will be able to compact layers of asphalt from thin to thick in fewer passes. This roller’s increased compaction output will benefit medium and large jobsites that feature infrastructure related paving projects, such as roads, airfields, harbors, and parking lots. The feat of compacting from thin to thick layers so quickly will save operators both time and money down the line.

The year was 1958. Rund’s dealership services material handling customers in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and northern California. Based in Portland, Oregon, Landmark Equipment has sold and serviced the Pettibone Cary-Lift product line for over 30 years, in addition to also adding Pettibone Extendo and Traverse telehandlers to their lineup.

The HVAC R Expo, which took place recently this past November at the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted over 200 exhibitors and 20 free CPD workshops, shed some informative light on the future of the GCC urban sector. According to the BNC Network, one of the HVAC R Expo intelligence partners, this sector accounts for 49% of the region’s 2.3 trillion dollar construction market with over 18,000 projects underway. The expo specifically highlighted how connected tech will be the key to achieving GCC sustainability targets through better climate management.

Cat’s newest additions to the Backhoe Loader model line-up include the 440 and 450 center pivot models, which are meant to provide industry-leading lifting performance, along with high breakout forces and improved operating comfort and ergonomics. The new 440 now features redesigned single tilt loader arms, which provide parallel lift and a wide range of versatility for different applications, along with a whopping 25 percent lifting improvement factor over the previous 430F2 model. Komatsu’s FrontRunner Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) is achieving unprecedented milestones with their recent record of more than two billion tons of surface material moved autonomously. The announcement was made earlier this November by the leading global heavy equipment manufacturers, Komatsu America Corp. Impressively, their FrontRunner AHS system has hauled more than all other commercial mining autonomous haulage systems combined.

This year’s National Construction Week was a major success, drawing in over 13,000 participants from Kenya and around the world. The international expo featured the Big 5 Construct East Africa, held at the the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, and organized by dmg events. The week also featured the flagship International Construction Research Conference and Exhibition (ICoRCE), organized by the National Construction Authority.

Volvo’s newly updated Site Simulation is increasing efficiency by analyzing worksite conditions and operational goals in order to offer advice on the most effective site setup. Caterpillar has added six new models to their ever expanding Next Generation mini hydraulic excavator lineup, built to ensure customer value in the form of operator experience, performance, serviceability, and affordability.
