CASE is improving several features of its N Series Backhoe Loader line. The new Pilot Control hydraulic system has been introduced to improve precision and smoothness, while giving the operator greater control in critical applications. Additionally, the previously-optional fuel economy package is now standard.

Building from its 204K and 304K models, John Deere is rolling out its new L-Series compact wheel loaders built for construction contractors, landscapers and rental center operators. The new line was designed to handle tough jobs requiring peak productivity in small spaces and on rough terrain.

Caterpillar is building on its industrial engine range with the addition of the Cat C13B. This 12.5-liter engine is designed to meet Stage V and Tier 4 Final emission standards. With its 6 cylinders, it combines upgraded air, electrical and aftertreatment systems to produce a range of powers from 340-430 kW and up to 2640 Nm of torque out of a package that is 30 percent lighter at these performance levels, when compared to previous models.

Caterpillar is rolling out a new line of material wheel handlers redesigned with specific applications in mind. The MH3022, MH3024, MH3026 models will also undergo additional enhancements in 2018 to improve performance and return on investment.

Compact track loaders (CTL)s can offer distinct advantages over their skid steer counterparts with rubber tires—namely lower ground pressure. But this can place you at a disadvantage if the machine is primarily used for snow removal where skid steers with traditional rubber tires can offer specific perks.

Caterpillar has released three new 20-ton excavators, which consume 20 to 25 less fuel than previous models and boast new features that could improve operational efficiency by up to 45%. The new CAT 320 GC, 320 and 323 all feature new cooling systems and technological updates.

The new Dynapac CC1100/CC1200 generation VI asphalt rollers utilize a new design that combines a cross-mounted engine with large casted forks offering built-in flexible lifting, towing and tie-down capabilities. Furthermore, the optional ROPS-mounted working lights in LED can enhance visibility during night-work.

The YANMAR//ACADEMY consists of eight technology-driven facilities scattered throughout Acworth, GA. These schools offer courses led by staff experts. Six focus on dealer training, one covers employee training, and one is dedicated to customer training.

New Holland Construction recently expanded its compact track loader lineup to include an all-new model, the C237. Ready for any farm, rental yard or construction site, the vertical lift C237 model will hold fast to steep slopes and move easily through various terrains. The 74 horsepower engine offers a lighter alternative to the previous C238 without sacrificing operating capacity. The C237 can lift more hay bales, haul heavier pallets and bigger boulders, and everything in between without the need to worry about DEF (diesel exhaust fluid).

Bobcat has released a new pallet fork frame featuring a new design that provides compact equipment operators with best-in class visibility for picking and placing objects. Its new walk-through design offers easier entry into the loader cab. The open carriage design provides optimal visibility to the pallet fork tines when picking and placing materials. 

John Deere’s new Worldwide Parts Services Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Miami, Fla., is a 115,000-square-foot facility that will serve dealers and customers in Latin America—with the exception of Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, which already house RDC locations. 

Takeuchi-US has released the TB235-2 compact hydraulic excavator, following up the original TB235. Sharing the same design concept of the TB230, TB240, and TB260, the TB235-2 provides Takeuchi with a 3.5t offering in this market classification. With an operating weight of 7,474 pounds, a dig depth of 10 feet 7.7 inches, maximum reach of 17 feet 3 inches and breakout force of 9,127 pounds the TB235 provides excellent working range and performance. Additionally, the TB235-2 shares the 24.4 hp Yanmar 3TNV88F engine with the TB230 and requires no additional exhaust after-treatment systems.

Buying a KOBELCO mini excavator may soon be a little closer to home. KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA is expanding its dealership network by adding several compact machinery dealers. AAA Equipment of New York, Bridgeport Equipment of Michigan, L&N Supply of Georgia, and Sound Heavy Machinery of North Carolina, will solely represent KOBELCO’s mini excavator line in the US.

On November 3, 2017, YANMAR America officially opened the new YANMAR EVO//CENTER located at the corner of Highway 92 and Old Alabama Road in Acworth, Georgia. Situated on 50-plus acres of land in Cherokee County, the new 50,000 square foot facility features six state-of-the-art product training labs with classroom and hands-on space, three classrooms, multiple meeting rooms, office space, a 250-seat auditorium, the EVO Commons dining area, concept lab, museum and outdoor product demonstration areas. The EVO//CENTER strives to evolve the mindsets of YANMAR’s customers, dealers, employees, and community by serving as a place of collaboration and education dedicated to sharing solutions for empowering sustainability.

CASE Construction Equipment has added the CX30C to its C Series line of mini excavators. With an operating weight of 6,020-pounds and a 24.8 horsepower Tier 4 Final engine, the CX30C boasts a bucket digging force of 4,520 pounds of force. The new machines feature a zero tail swing, short-radius or conventional design, adjustable boom offset for improved maneuverability in congested areas and an auto-shift travel system for operator convenience in varying terrain.

Volvo Constructions Equipment customers will now have more breakers and aftermarket attachment options thanks to a new partnership between Volvo and Allied Construction Products LLC. The new partnership results in the addition of 40 models to Volvo dealer product offerings, including the Allied flagship Rammer and Hy-Ram hydraulic breakers and Ho-Pac and Skid-Pac compactor/drivers. Comparable Volvo-branded products in North America will be discontinued with this new partnership.

The TV370 compact track loader (CTL) is a new 74-horsepower machine by CASE Construction Equipment that combines a maintenance-free Tier 4 Final solution with the strength and reach of a large-frame CTL. The TV370 provides a 3,700-pound rated operating capacity and a vertical-lift design that makes it ideal for loading trucks, and lifting and placing heavier palletized materials.

Bobcat has expanded its line of VersaHANDLER telescopic tool carriers, also known as telehandlers, with the new V723 VersaHANDLER telescopic tool carrier. The V723 is in the 7,000- to 8,000-pound size class, and it can confidently handle heavy loads. Its low profile fits on more farms and construction jobsites while easy maneuverability provides operators with enhanced comfort throughout the day. Plus, the new V723 features the Power Quick-Tach attachment mounting system to increase utilization.

Designed for fast and efficient cable/fiber and irrigation system installations, the newly premiered Vermeer SPX25 is powerful and compact for tight-squeeze jobs. This vibratory plow has built-in tracks for minimized ground disturbance and comes with a full-function remote control that allows the user a 360-degree view of the product being installed. An unobstructed view, in combination with the ability to operate the machine from anywhere, not just from behind, awards the operator more confidence and control on site.

The new Volvo EC27D 2.7-ton compact excavator is equipped with a Volvo D1.1A Tier 4 Final engine with passive regeneration and features impressive lifting capacity and more than 9,600 pounds of digging force. Due to the precise matching of the engine to the Volvo hydraulics, the EC27D uses 5 percent less fuel and has 30 percent less horsepower than its predecessor while maintaining the same breakout and tearout forces. The EC27D's size, stability and lifting capacity will make it an ideal candidate for a range of applications.
