Caterpillar is building on its industrial engine range with the addition of the Cat C13B. This 12.5-liter engine is designed to meet Stage V and Tier 4 Final emission standards. With its 6 cylinders, it combines upgraded air, electrical and aftertreatment systems to produce a range of powers from 340-430 kW and up to 2640 Nm of torque out of a package that is 30 percent lighter at these performance levels, when compared to previous models.

New Holland Construction recently expanded its compact track loader lineup to include an all-new model, the C237. Ready for any farm, rental yard or construction site, the vertical lift C237 model will hold fast to steep slopes and move easily through various terrains. The 74 horsepower engine offers a lighter alternative to the previous C238 without sacrificing operating capacity. The C237 can lift more hay bales, haul heavier pallets and bigger boulders, and everything in between without the need to worry about DEF (diesel exhaust fluid).

Its new walk-through design offers easier entry into the loader cab. The open carriage design provides optimal visibility to the pallet fork tines when picking and placing materials.

John Deere’s new Worldwide Parts Services Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Miami, Fla., is a 115,000-square-foot facility that will serve dealers and customers in Latin America—with the exception of Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, which already house RDC locations.

Takeuchi-US has released the TB235-2 compact hydraulic excavator, following up the original TB235. Sharing the same design concept of the TB230, TB240, and TB260, the TB235-2 provides Takeuchi with a 3.5t offering in this market classification. With an operating weight of 7,474 pounds, a dig depth of 10 feet 7.7 inches, maximum reach of 17 feet 3 inches and breakout force of 9,127 pounds the TB235 provides excellent working range and performance. Additionally, the TB235-2 shares the 24.4 hp Yanmar 3TNV88F engine with the TB230 and requires no additional exhaust after-treatment systems.

AAA Equipment of New York, Bridgeport Equipment of Michigan, L&N Supply of Georgia, and Sound Heavy Machinery of North Carolina, will solely represent KOBELCO’s mini excavator line in the US.

CASE Construction Equipment has added the CX30C to its C Series line of mini excavators. With an operating weight of 6,020-pounds and a 24.8 horsepower Tier 4 Final engine, the CX30C boasts a bucket digging force of 4,520 pounds of force. The new machines feature a zero tail swing, short-radius or conventional design, adjustable boom offset for improved maneuverability in congested areas and an auto-shift travel system for operator convenience in varying terrain.

Volvo Constructions Equipment customers will now have more breakers and aftermarket attachment options thanks to a new partnership between Volvo and Allied Construction Products LLC. The new partnership results in the addition of 40 models to Volvo dealer product offerings, including the Allied flagship Rammer and Hy-Ram hydraulic breakers and Ho-Pac and Skid-Pac compactor/drivers. Comparable Volvo-branded products in North America will be discontinued with this new partnership.

The new Volvo EC27D 2.7-ton compact excavator is equipped with a Volvo D1.1A Tier 4 Final engine with passive regeneration and features impressive lifting capacity and more than 9,600 pounds of digging force. Due to the precise matching of the engine to the Volvo hydraulics, the EC27D uses 5 percent less fuel and has 30 percent less horsepower than its predecessor while maintaining the same breakout and tearout forces. The EC27D's size, stability and lifting capacity will make it an ideal candidate for a range of applications.
