Komatsu America Corp has debuted of their new WA900-8 wheel loader, designed to load more trucks per shift. As a leading global heavy equipment manufacturer, Komatsu purpose-built the WA900-8 to load 70-150 ton haul trucks in a more comfortable work environment. This 256,618 lb. model even comes equipped with an EPA Tier 4 Final certified emission regulations-compliant engine.

Komatsu America Corp. is upping their game with new technology that offers integrated machine control 100% of the time. With Proactive Dozing Control logic, operators can not only perform auto-spreading,  auto-stripping, and high production dozing, but they can also finish grading as well. This precision driven system, built on the company’s already existing intelligent machine control, will be available on Komatsu D51EXi-24, D51PXi-24, D61EXi-24 and D61PXi-24 dozers.

Volvo also offers a solution to this problem with their ActiveCare Direct 24/7/365 machine monitoring and fleet utilization service that sends customers easy-to-understand email alerts.

Volvo Construction Equipment has launched Haul Assist as a standard addition to all Volvo A35G through A60H haulers, which the option to add it onto A25G and A30G models as well. This new system, available in North America and powered by the Volvo Co-Pilot display, provides real-time insights and data to achieve enhanced productivity and optimal payloads. Haul Assist details how much material an articulated hauler has moved, therefore allowing for enhanced overall decision making and target hitting.

Volvo Construction Equipment is continuing to enhance productivity within its excavator and wheel loader lineup with the addition of Dig Assist Start, (the basic starter package,) now coming standard on all new EC220E to EC480E excavator models. Additionally, Load Assist will come standard an all new L150H to L260H wheel loader models, along with an “Operator Coaching” app. These packages, powered by Volvo Co-Pilot display, will ensure safety while increasing productivity.

John Deere is upgrading their 470G LC Excavators with new grade guidance technology, developed in cooperation with Topcon Positioning Group. The concept was originally designed for use with 210G LC and 350G LC Excavators, providing operators with bucket location in relation to a 2D reference or 3D design surface. This power and precision then arms those operators with the detail necessary for precision excavation projects like digging trenches for pipe laying, shaping ditches or slopes, and digging structure foundations.

Komatsu America has introduced their new PC1250SP-11 and PC1250LC-11 Tier 4 final emissions certified hydraulic excavators. The heavy equipment manufacturer debuted these EPA Tier 4 Final (T4F) certified models - perfect for sewer, water, mass excavation, mining, and quarry applications - with simplicity in mind. Their SAA6D170E-7 engines feature two Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filters (KDPF) that do not require a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system or Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). The new PC1250SP-11 and PC1250LC-11 feature increased power, improved production, and a new single “Power +” operating mode that does not compromise fuel consumption.

Bobcat recently made waves by debuting the world’s first 1 ton electric mini-excavator at Bauma 2019. This low emissions, low noise, zero tail swing (ZTS) model has a width of just 71cm and a new E10e battery. The new, smaller mini-excavator can pass easily through standard doors and in and out of elevators, making it the ideal machine for applications like indoor demolitions and basement construction.

John Deere will be displaying their construction equipment at Bauma for the first time this year, April 8-14th. Set to be exhibiting a select fourteen machines, the exhibition will be held at the Wirtgen Group booth. Amongst the equipment will be motor graders intended be sold via the French sales and service company Wirtgen France SAS, as well as Wirtgen Group’s German sales and service companies, which John Deere acquired in December of 2017.
