Komatsu America Corp has debuted of their new WA900-8 wheel loader, designed to load more trucks per shift. As a leading global heavy equipment manufacturer, Komatsu purpose-built the WA900-8 to load 70-150 ton haul trucks in a more comfortable work environment. This 256,618 lb. model even comes equipped with an EPA Tier 4 Final certified emission regulations-compliant engine. 

Komatsu America Corp. is upping their game with new technology that offers integrated machine control 100% of the time. With Proactive Dozing Control logic, operators can not only perform auto-spreading,  auto-stripping, and high production dozing, but they can also finish grading as well. This precision driven system, built on the company’s already existing intelligent machine control, will be available on Komatsu D51EXi-24, D51PXi-24, D61EXi-24 and D61PXi-24 dozers.

This program is the paving industry’s premier operator and technician training opportunity which offers value to both veterans and newcomers alike. The courses will run from November 2019 through May 2020, offering a combination of classroom and hands-on training on a variety of maintenance and operations concepts. 

SnowEx has introduced their newest, large carrying capacity snow pusher, the POWER PUSHER TE. Made for skid-steers, wheel loaders, backhoes, and tractors, these models come in 8- and 10-foot wide dimensions. Volvo is taking a stance on traditional difficult-to-read telematic fault codes with their newest series of videos poking fun of this very problem. The company is aiming to draw attention to the fact that traditional equipment codes that customers receive when there is a problem are not easily deciphered by the average, everyday customer. No worries though! Volvo also offers a solution to this problem with their ActiveCare Direct 24/7/365 machine monitoring and fleet utilization service that sends customers easy-to-understand email alerts.

Volvo Construction Equipment has launched Haul Assist as a standard addition to all Volvo A35G through A60H haulers, which the option to add it onto A25G and A30G models as well. This new system, available in North America and powered by the Volvo Co-Pilot display, provides real-time insights and data to achieve enhanced productivity and optimal payloads. Haul Assist details how much material an articulated hauler has moved, therefore allowing for enhanced overall decision making and target hitting.

Volvo Construction Equipment is continuing to enhance productivity within its excavator and wheel loader lineup with the addition of Dig Assist Start, (the basic starter package,) now coming standard on all new EC220E to EC480E excavator models. Additionally, Load Assist will come standard an all new L150H to L260H wheel loader models, along with an “Operator Coaching” app. These packages, powered by Volvo Co-Pilot display, will ensure safety while increasing productivity.

John Deere is upgrading their 470G LC Excavators with new grade guidance technology, developed in cooperation with Topcon Positioning Group. The concept was originally designed for use with 210G LC and 350G LC Excavators, providing operators with bucket location in relation to a 2D reference or 3D design surface. This power and precision then arms those operators with the detail necessary for precision excavation projects like digging trenches for pipe laying, shaping ditches or slopes, and digging structure foundations.

John Deere recently added three new backhoe attachments, the BH9B, BH10B and BH11B, to their ever expanding lineup. The new models are ideal for use on John Deere G-Series skid steers and compact track loaders, similar to other attachments. These backhoe attachments were designed specifically for applications like light construction, landscaping, agricultural, or utility work.

Komatsu America Corp. has rolled out their brand new Tier 4 final emissions-certified hydraulic excavator, the PC290LCi-11. With increased stability and productivity, Komatsu continues to lead the way in global heavy equipment with this improved model. The new excavator features intelligent machine control, providing first-to-last-pass accuracy.

When the new EX1200-7 excavator rolled onto a Rango Inc. job site, there was an energy you could feel in the air. Not only had they received a new EX1200-7, but it was the first Dash-7 to be delivered and digging on North American ground.

Komatsu America has introduced their new PC1250SP-11 and PC1250LC-11 Tier 4 final emissions certified hydraulic excavators. The heavy equipment manufacturer debuted these EPA Tier 4 Final (T4F) certified models - perfect for sewer, water, mass excavation, mining, and quarry applications - with simplicity in mind. Their SAA6D170E-7 engines feature two Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filters (KDPF) that do not require a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system or Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). The new PC1250SP-11 and PC1250LC-11 feature increased power, improved production, and a new single “Power +” operating mode that does not compromise fuel consumption.

Hitachi is kicking off the month of May with the introduction of their EX1200-7 excavator for North and South America. The third machine in Hitachi’s new EX-7 lineup, the new model provides increased efficiency, durability, and reliability. This versatile addition follows the recent launch of Hitachi’s EX2600-7 and EX5600-7 excavators. 

Volvo Construction Equipment’s newest crawler excavator offers strong performance without the added cost and features of a larger excavator. Made for light to medium applications, the new excavator gives customers a previously lacking option between Volvo’s 16- and 22-ton machines. Bobcat recently made waves by debuting the world’s first 1 ton electric mini-excavator at Bauma 2019. This low emissions, low noise, zero tail swing (ZTS) model has a width of just 71cm and a new E10e battery. The new, smaller mini-excavator can pass easily through standard doors and in and out of elevators, making it the ideal machine for applications like indoor demolitions and basement construction.

Gehl’s new RT255 Pilot series track loader is now one of the largest radial lift track loaders in the North American market. Now available at dealerships across the US and Canada, these new models deliver maximum performance and versatility on the jobsite. New features include automatic track tensioning, an exclusive seat-mounted joystick, and top rated hydraulic flow rates.

John Deere will be displaying their construction equipment at Bauma for the first time this year, April 8-14th. Set to be exhibiting a select fourteen machines, the exhibition will be held at the Wirtgen Group booth. Amongst the equipment will be motor graders intended be sold via the French sales and service company Wirtgen France SAS, as well as Wirtgen Group’s German sales and service companies, which John Deere acquired in December of 2017.

Caterpillar’s new 777G off-highway truck carries on the 777 legacy of performance, reliability, and long-term durability. The 777 models have been staple machines in mining and large earthmoving applications since 1977, and they are only improving over time through new technology for high production, fuel efficiency, and operator amenities.
