Hiab, part of Cargotec, has recently announced that they are upping their game when it comes to their portfolio of light range loader cranes. Combining strength with reliability and ease of use, this lineup of cranes now comes with an increased capacity of 11 tonne meters, which is 7 more tonnes than previous models. Additionally, the machines now come with four options for remote and manual control systems, giving ultimate customizability and control to the operator in order to meet their exact level of precision during operation.

Manitou has announced its new lineup of both diesel and electric mobile elevated work platforms (or MEWPs) for its North American market. This squad of platforms features two electric models, the AETJ 49 and the AETJ 43, as well as three diesel models, the ATJ 46, ATJ 46+, and the MAN’GO 33. These models were debuted for the first time at the recent ARA Rental Show in New Orleans earlier this month.

Wasel GmbH Schwerlastlogistik has accepted two LRT rough-terrain crane models from the Liebherr plant in Ehingen. The company now owns the first of the LRT 1090-2.1 and the LRT 1100-2.1 series. The firm plans to deploy both rough-terrain cranes in opencast mining as well as on major construction sites with long periods of use.

Pettibone has rolled out the new Cary-Lift 254i, built for heavy pipe, pole, log, and material handling, whether it be in a stock yard or construction site. The Cary-Lift 254i features a unique overhead lift arm design, giving the operator full front visibility when lifting or transporting loads – a sharp contrast to the lift arms on wheel loaders, which are located directly in front of the vehicle. Additionally, Cary-Lift forks are capable of tilting down 90 degrees for specialized lifting tasks, such as unloading pipe from railroad gondola cars.

The new Demag AC 45 City is the most compact crane in its class, with a length of 8.69 m, a width of 2.55 m, and a height of only 3.16 m. The Demag AC 45 City's IC-1 Plus control system calculates the crane's maximum available lifting capacity for every boom position in real time even when working with asymmetrical outrigger setups. And to top it all off, it has a maximum weight of 34 tonnes, so it can travel on the roads without any additional transport vehicles.

Iowa Mold Tooling Co., Inc. (IMT) has rolled out four new articulating crane models, the 610, 710, 810 and 910, and revisions to its current lineup. The new articulating cranes offer increased lifting capacities in the 40,000 ft-lb to 70,000 ft-lb range. The new models share the same tried-and-true features offered on all IMT articulating cranes, such as over-bending, which ensures the working area between the main boom and the jib is no less than 195°.

Terex Cranes has introduced the newest addition to its tower crane family, the Terex CTT 472-20 flat top tower crane. This new Terex 20-tonne (22-U.S.-ton) class crane expands maximum jib length to 80 m (262.5 ft) and increases load charts over previous models offering the same lift capacity on the whole jib length, with a maximum load at the full length of the jib tip of 4 tonnes (4.4 U.S. tons).

In direct response to customer demand, JCB has developed and introduced the new 510-42 Loadall, a telescopic handler with a 10,000 lb maximum lift capacity and 42-foot lift height that requires no outriggers. The 510-42 is available with a JCB EcoMAX109 hp engine requiring no diesel particulate filter, or a 74 hp engine requiring no diesel particulate filter (DPF) and no Diesel Engine Fluid (DEF). The 510-42 has already earned more than 25 orders from customers in North America.

WOLFFKRAN is releasing the new WOLFF 6020 clear which will replace the WOLFF 6015 clear that was introduced in 2008. The new flat-top saddle jib will be available for customers as of September 2017. It is offered as the 6-ton version WOLFF 6020.6 clear and the 8-ton version WOLFF 6020.8 clear, with tree different tower connections per version.
