Mammoet
has placed an order for 14 new cranes comprising Demag and Terex vehicles. The fleet will take on 10 Demag all-terrain cranes including the AC 500-8 crane, three Terex models including the Mac 25-4 pick-and-carry crane, as well as one Demag CC 3800-1 crawler crane.

All are designed to boost performance and productivity at various plants and installations.

The Demag line features a series of upgrades including the new IC-1 Plus control system, which provides real time calculation of lifting capacities. Its single engine with start and stop function reduces idle times and total engine hours, thereby dropping fuel costs and helping preserve the machine’s residual value.

Meanwhile, the Demag CC 3800-1 lattice boom crawler crane specializes in the construction of wind turbines. The 650-tonne-capacity crane features an ergonomic cab and includes fall protection as standard equipment.

In addition, the Terex Mac 25-4 pick & carry crane boasts a 25-tonne lift capacity and a maximum boom length of 18.4 m. Mammoet’s three Terex units include intuitive controls with a large LCD and cruise control feature.
