Ram Trucks unveiled their latest edition at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois today--the Ram Harvest Edition. The new Ram model was designed specifically for America’s farm families and is visually distinguished by two new colors: Case IH Red and New Holland Blue.

John Deere has introduced its new 0 Series Round Balers, which will be available for the 2018 haying season. The eight models that comprise the new 0 Series Round Balers build upon the 9 Series Balers and include new features, including the the MegaWide HC2 feed system, that improve hay pickup and overall baling speed and productivity in the field.

In conjunction, John Deere has added two models of round bale accumulators providing the ability to carry up to two round bales behind the baler while making a third bale in the chamber.

Case IH has rolled out a new planter, the 2140 Early Riser pivot fold planter, which will help farmers more quickly convert from corn to soybeans. Six configurations are available with ultra-narrow 15-inch row spacing options combined with accurate and rugged row unit for high-efficiency planting. The new planter has an operational width of 44 feet, folds to a transport width of 13.5 feet, and provides excellent ground clearance so farmers can traverse any terrain and move from field to field.

Farming is often portrayed as a relatively low tech industry, but new agricultural innovations are prompting what many feel is a new era of high tech farming where human labor is reduced to a minimum in favor of automated robotic machinery. Leading industry experts believe automated bots could be poised at the forefront of a high tech farming revolution, and as agricultural equipment manufacturers race to research the best fully-automated farmer tools, many farmers are left wondering exactly how new agricultural technology with robots will change the way they farm.

AGCO's Sunflower line is introducing the SF6830 Series high-speed rotary finisher in a narrow-transport version. Available in two models, SF6830-18NT (17 feet, 8 inches) and SF6830-21NT (21 feet, 5 inches), both tools transport at the narrow roading width of 9 feet, 10 inches.

First seen on the MF Beta range, this system is now available on the MF Activa S 5- and 6-walker MCS (Multi Crop Separator) models. It uses parallel linkage for machine leveling whilst allowing the fitment of wider tires but maintaining the important 3.5m width for road transport.

CNH Industrial and Trimble are enabling wireless connectivity between Trimble Ag Software, Case IH Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) Connect, and New Holland Precision Land Management (PLM) Connect telematics platforms in North America. The collaboration enables Trimble and CNH Industrial to integrate their cloud-based software solutions helping farmers make informed decisions with their farm data.

Many improvements can be found in the new lineup of Case IH Maxxum series tractors, including powertrain improvements and transmission configuration options, including the new ActiveDrive 8 24-speed transmission. The new ActiveDrive 8 transmission delivers uninterrupted torque through more working speeds, faster shuttle shifts and simplified shifting. The 2018 performance enhancements combined with the configuration options allow you to build the right workhorse for tasks across the farm from row crop fieldwork to livestock feeding.

Case IH touts they've created the industry's fastest converting combination applicator on a row-crop chassis with their new Trident 5550 liquid/dry combination applicator. They've spent significant time engineering it from the ground up to be changed from liquid to dry and back again throughout three seasons of use, while minimizing the time and effort required to convert it.

AGCO announced a definitive agreement has been signed on Wednesday with The Climate Corporation, a subsidiary of Monsanto, for AGCO to acquire the Precision Planting LLC equipment business.

John Deere has added 8 new farm and agriculture-oriented models to their Worksite Pro attachment line-up. These attachments include new silage defacers, bale spears, a bale hugger, and an angle-tatch.

The 2018 Versatile four-wheel drive and DeltaTrack includes new models with more horsepower and torque, new features and available options. The Versatile factory will soon begin production on the highest horsepower tractor built in Winnipeg with the new Versatile 610, with 605 HP, available in four-wheel drive and DeltaTrack. New 2018 Versatile four-wheel drives and DeltaTracks feature the latest in Cummins Tier 4 Final engine technology, an integrated Cummins after-treatment and turbo that increases torque and fuel economy.

John Deere announced this week that it will be purchasing Mazzotti, a privately-held agriculture sprayer manufacturer based in Ravenna, Italy.

This is similar to the fight already waged and won by independent repair shops and individuals wanting to repair their own automobiles. If you are unfamiliar with the situation, let me explain.

John Deere has added four different sizes of 3-point liquid sprayers, dubbed the Frontier LS11 Series Sprayers. The LS11 Series Sprayers are available in 25', 30', 30' Boomless, and 40' working widths, come with 250-gallon (946.3 liters) or 300-gallon (1135.6 liters) teardrop tank sizes, can be powered either hydraulically or by the rear power take-off (PTO), and are Category 2 or Category 3 quick-hitch compatible.

John Deere has rolled out the red carpet on its new S700 Combine models (S760, S770, S780 and S790) with CommandCenter and Combine Advisor. To compliment the S700 Combines, John Deere has added new 700C/FC (folding corn head) Series Corn Heads with the RowMax row unit and 700D Rigid Draper for small grains.
