Two new Massey Ferguson mid-range tractors were added to the 5700 Global Series and revealed at the recent 2019 Sunbelt Ag Expo. Introduced by the AGCO Corporation, the 100-HP MF5710D and the 110-HP MF5711D were designed for efficiency in hay production, loader work, and general farm use. Both models also come equipped with the sturdy Dyna-4 transmission for high-end performance.

Manitou has added four new straight boom Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) to their North American collection. The TJ 65, TJ 65+, TJ 80+, and TJ 85 all feature smooth platform operation and three steering modes. Additionally, all of these models come with the ability to make up to four concurrent movements at one time.

At this year’s Farm Progress Show, Hesston by Massy Ferguson debuted the new MF1316S RazorEdge pull-type disc mower conditioner for North American producers. This 16-foot, center-pivot mower model offers smooth crop feeding, optimizes crop throughput, and offers a better windrow formation and simplified service points. Operators can now cut and condition more acres per day with the help of several enhancements and upgrades from the previous MF1395 model.

At this year’s Farm Progress Show, held in August, Hesston by Massey Ferguson deuted their 9300 Series RazorBar Rotary Disc Headers made for Hesston WR9900 Series self-propelled windrowers. This industry-leading hay equipment brand from AGCO Corporation (NYSE:AGCO) will be supplying North American producers with their new model as a way to optimize crop throughput and quality. New easy-to-service belt-drive augers and low-profile RazorBar rotary disc cutterbars contribute to the ability to cut and condition more acres in a single day.

Caterpillar has released 16 new models that advance the D and D2 Series notoriety for comfort, quality, and performance. These D3 Series Skid Steer Loaders (SSL) and Compact Track Loaders (CTL) offer enhancements to the operator experience, as well as track loader stability. The new D3 Series models will also support and recognize a new line of Smart Attachments with the ability to tailor the controls and operator information to match the specific tool and task at hand.

Case IH is now offering their brand new AutoBoom XRT automatic boom height control on Patriot and Trident series sprayers as an expansion of their existing high-efficiency spraying options. This next-generation technology uses a combination of chassis monitoring and sensors to see ahead of the sprayer in order to detect changes in terrain and automatically adjust the booms. The radar sensors can also be configured to maximize boom life, maintain a level spray platform, and detect the location of the ground or crop canopy for the most accurate, high-efficiency spraying.

John Deere is now offering their Registered Apprenticeship Program to their Agriculture & Turf and Construction & Forestry dealers. The program was recently approved by the U.S. Department of Labor and is meant to provide dealers with a formalized, on-the-job, technical training plan in order to groom more highly skilled workers. The program aims to address a widespread shortage of service technicians, a problem especially felt in rural areas throughout the country.

John Deere’s newest training facility in Coal Valley, Illinois was recently completed, offering trainees 7,500 square feet of training space. More than half of the facility - 4,0000 square feet - is covered canopy space for outdoor training and equipment walkarounds. This new Construction & Forestry Training Campus also features three classrooms that can be used individually for separate training purposes or combined in order to hold events for up to 250 people.

Vermeer Corporation recently announced their decision to enter into a partnership with Ontario based Tubeline Manufacturing, wherein Tubeline will help to expand the Vermeer line of hay and forage tools. This collaboration will allow Vermeer to better serve customers in provinces of Ontario, Quebec, and Maritimes.

Case IH Early Riser planters are getting a high tech upgrade this spring with the addition of new layers of of high-definition through the new Climate Corporation FieldView Cab app with FieldView Drive technology. Operators will no longer need to purchase a display exclusively for FieldView, and the tech will be available for operators of 2000 series Early Riser planters paired with a Case IH tractor that is equipped with Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) AccuGuide autoguidance. The new HD tech will display row-by-row data visualization, autoguidance line sharing, mapping, and more.
