Finally, a compact track loader with all the power of a C238, but without the need for DEF (diesel exhaust fluid)! New Holland Construction’s newest loader, the C237 can lift more, haul heavier loads, and hold fast to steep slopes all without the extra horsepower derived from DEF. This vertical-lift model brings the lineup full-circle, and is ready for any construction, farm, or rental yard job you can think of.

Manitou recently announced its three NewAg MLT Telecopic Loaders, all of which will be on the North American market some time in 2018. The debut was made at both the National Farm Machinery Show and the World Ag Expo. The MLT 630, MLT 733, and the MLT 737 each comes with the promise of increased comfort, performance, and efficiency, and all can be fitted with numerous attachments.

New Holland's newest contribution to the world of agriculture comes in the new 9200 CornMaster Series of corn heads. Designed specifically for planting in row spacings of 20” and 22” and ranging from 12-18 row units, this series provides maximum combine productivity. Moreover, these narrow corn heads outperform all others in terms of grain in the bin and clean picking resulting in less MOG (material other than grain).

Case IH has been hard at work delving into the world of autonomy since the rollout of the concept of autonomous vehicles years ago. From thinking about the true definition of autonomy to realizing the impacts that it can have on the agriculture industry as a whole, Case is continually working to evolve the technology to best serve their customers all over the world. Now, in addition to defining five distinct categories of autonomy in order to compose a framework outlining the spectrum of automation, the company is piloting this new-age tech in real-life scenarios via their newly formed Autonomy and Automation Program.

AFS Soil Command helps producers measure and optimize the agronomic quality of their seedbed right from the tractor cab. This technology utilizes Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) components to maximize the agronomic benefits of each tillage pass, providing yield-enhancing information from below the soil surface in real time.

In terms of maximum efficiency, Case IH has delivered a truly revolutionary line of premium loaders with it’s L10 series. More efficient hydraulics and improved visibility make moving through all types of work easier and quicker. From material handling to livestock feeding, and everything in between, productivity is increased by improving on features like design and cycle times.

Finally, the long-awaited Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick was unveiled recently at the National Farm Machinery Show. The anticipation and excitement surrounding the announcement of this series stems from the fact that this is the fastest utility vehicle to date, with speeds of up to 40mph, outdoing it’s predecessors by over 10mph. Complete with a 48 horsepower gas engine, and built with the same durability and performance Kubota customer’s have come to know and love, this utility vehicle is not only the fastest, but also the strongest and most agile, whether around the pasture, on the farm, or in the woods.

The Nutri-Placer 940 HSLD is Case IH’s newest addition to its fertilizer applicator family with the HSLD, or High-speed Low Disturbance row unit being a new option never offered before. Speed and efficiency are the name of the game here, with the Nutri-Placer 940 HSLD capable of minimal soil disturbance while still reaching speeds up to 11mph. That means that operators can cover up to 900 acres in a 12-hour day while still ensuring precise nutrient management.

Case IH has expanded the 4400 series corn headers lineup with all-new narrow row configuration options designed for enhanced grain savings. These new models are built to meet the needs of operations that plant on 20- and 22-inch rows and to match the performance of Axial-Flow combines.

Diesel utility vehicle manufacturer Kubota Tractor Corporation will be rolling out its RTV-X1120 models designed for commercial customers with heavy-duty needs. The lineup is scheduled to hit the market in February 2018 starting at $13,999 MSRP.

Recently in Racine, Wisconsin, Case IH demonstrated its continuation of support for the next generation of agricultural advocates and leaders by honoring the finalists from each category of the 2018 American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Young Farmers & Ranchers awards program. The prizes included three new Farmall 50A tractors and six large tool chests with $500 Case IH parts gift cards to finalists in each category. There were nearly 100 participants total, and 9 of those walked away with these awesome prizes.

Building from its 204K and 304K models, John Deere is rolling out its new L-Series compact wheel loaders built for construction contractors, landscapers and rental center operators. The new line was designed to handle tough jobs requiring peak productivity in small spaces and on rough terrain.

Case IH is providing seamless data-transfer capabilities by expanding its Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) Connect farm management system with six new service providers including AgDNA, AgWorks, FieldReveal, GROWMARK, and more. Case IH plans to announce additional data-sharing agreements throughout 2018.

The YANMAR//ACADEMY consists of eight technology-driven facilities scattered throughout Acworth, GA. These schools offer courses led by staff experts. Six focus on dealer training, one covers employee training, and one is dedicated to customer training.

Kubota has debuted six new specialty ag tractors designed for narrow, low profile and high clearance applications at its annual dealer meeting. The new M Series introductions include the M4N-071 ROPS, M5N-091 ROPS and M5N-111 ROPS narrow tractors; the M5N-091PK Power Krawler tractor; the M6L-111 low profile* tractor; and the M6H-101 high clearance* tractor. The new M Series specialty tractors bring greater variety, performance and operator options for specialty crop producers. These tractors are available at Kubota dealerships now.

Fendt’s new Xaver system uses small robot units operating in swarms and a cloud solution to plan, monitor and accurately document the precise planting of corn. Satellite and data management in the cloud allows navigation around the clock operations, with permanent access to all data. The exact position and sowing time of each seed is accurately recorded. Knowing exactly where the seed has been planted opens up new potential for further processes, since subsequent operations such as crop protecting or fertilizing, can be performed precisely at the individual plant.

AGCO and Fendt have launched the Fendt e100 Vario, a practical, all-electric compact tractor with 67 HP (50 kW) power output, which can operate for up to 5 hours under actual operating conditions. The energy source is a 650 V high-capacity lithium-ion battery with a capacity of around 100 kWh. The battery is charged either with 400 V and up to 22 kW via a standard CEE outdoor socket, or by a supercharging option with direct voltage. With a standard CCS type 2 plug, the battery can be recharged up to 80% in just 40 minutes. In addition, energy can be recovered thanks to the use of an electric motor.

John Deere looks to accelerate their agriculture technology with an acquisition of Blue River Technology, a tech firm developing smart machines for agriculture. Blue River has built technology that uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to detect, identify, and determine treatment of plants. For instance, it can distinguish subtle differences between cotton plants and weeds.

At the Farm Progress Show, New Holland Agriculture demonstrated the latest development in its vision for the sustainable future of farming: a methane powered concept tractor that reimagines the design of this machine and reveals a connected future. The brand imagines the farm of the future as being completely energy independent: a farm that produces not only food, but also the biomass it needs to generate the energy it uses to run its operations and power its tractors and other machinery.

New advancements to the Case IH lineup of tillage tools help create an optimal seedbed, from the flat subsurface floor to the smooth surface finish, to ensure planting success. The new harrow and rear hitch options for the Tiger-Mate 255 field cultivator provide more ways to customize the tillage tools to individual field conditions. Additionally, the True-Tandem 335VT has a new Earth Metal blade option for cutting through tough residue.
