John Deere, a company known for its innovative technology and machines, is set to showcase new and updated excavator models at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023. One of the highlights of the event is the launch of the new 85 P-Tier and 510 P-Tier excavators, which boast significant improvements in engine horsepower, hydraulic performance, and cab design.
According to Aaron Klauer, Global Product Manager for Mid-and-Large Size Excavators at John Deere, the company is excited about the future of its excavator lineup. "We are constantly listening to the needs of the industry, and our future generation excavator models not only leverage what we’ve learned from our customers, but also utilize John Deere’s decades of global excavator experience to bring the most innovative and game-changing machines to market,” said Klauer.
85 P-TierThe new 85 P-Tier model offers an 18% increase in engine horsepower and a turbo for high altitude performance. Its hydraulic performance has also been improved, with increased pump torque and improved dig forces. The redesigned cab now features an eight-inch monitor with Bluetooth and a 270-degree camera system integrated into the main monitor. The machine also has improved service access and optional features like angle blade with float and continuous flow auxiliary hydraulics.
510 P-TierMeanwhile, the 510 P-Tier is a replacement for the current 470 P-Tier model, weighing in at 51-metric tons. It has a variable undercarriage and can handle buckets five yards and above. With a more efficient powertrain and the integration of E-fans, this new model provides up to 25% lower maintenance costs, 15% lower repair costs, and 20% lower fuel consumption. It is designed to deliver exceptional performance to customers in mass excavation or deep underground applications while providing significant improvement in the cost of ownership.
Aside from these new models, John Deere is also set to unveil its all-new future generation excavators at the event. These machines are designed to be the most capable and modern excavators in the industry, leveraging decades of experience and backed by the high-performing network of John Deere dealers. The future generation excavators will provide enhancements in connectivity, safety, automation, and grade management.
145 P-Tier“We understand the importance of attracting and retaining talented operators. That’s why we are prioritizing an elevated operator experience through a new cab, controls, displays, and technology,” said Klauer.
Customers can experience the future generation machines at the event, including the 145 P-Tier, 210 P-Tier, and 360 P-Tier models. These models are designed to offer industry-leading performance, reliability, and durability features, including the industry-exclusive full-size cab on the reduced tail swing 145 P-Tier machine.
