The Volvo Group and NVIDIA have entered into a new partnership to jointly develop the decision making system of autonomous commercial vehicles and machines. Volvo will be incorporating NVIDIA’s end-to-end artificial intelligence platform in order to further their ability to safely handle autonomous driving on public surface streets and highways. The new platform will enable better training, simulations, and in-vehicle computing, and in order to ultimately provide the company with enhanced safety and efficiency.

The Volvo Group is grabbed everyone’s attention at this year’s Bauma 2019 in Munich, Germany, with Volvo CE, Volvo Penta, Volvo Trucks, and Volvo Financial Services all ready to take the stage in a collaborative effort to offer a package of integrated products and services. The dedication of the Volvo Group to helping solve construction’s toughest demands based on shared market-leading knowledge was a perfect fit with the theme of this year’s expo: Building Tomorrow. Volvo CE even unveiled its first compact electric excavator and wheel loader as a step forward in their industry-first pledge to produce electric compact machines by 2020.
