MAC Liquid Tank Trailer (MAC LTT), a subsidiary of MAC Trailer Enterprises, Inc., announced the expansion of their stainless-steel division with the purchase of the Mt. Pleasant, Michigan facility located at 1799 Gover Parkway. The $10 million expansion, with the support of $7 million in New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), includes 15.85 acres, a 105,000 square-foot production and office space, and new equipment with aspirations to increase production capabilities to meet the company's growing needs.

“The Michigan expansion is an important step forward in the diversification of the MAC LTT product offerings,” said Matt Niemeier, Vice President of MAC LTT. “We will focus on the production of tank trailers designed for the transport of Dairy, Food Grade and Chemical commodities.” The two other MAC LTT production facilities located in Kent, Ohio and Billings, Montana specialize in the production of tank trailers and truck mounted tanks designed for the transport of Petroleum, Petro-Chemicals, Crude Oil and Asphalt.

MAC Trailer Enterprises Incorporated was founded in 1992 by Michael A. Conny when he started a one-man operation repairing wrecked trailers in a single bay garage. MAC Trailer has since grown to be the nation’s foremost manufacturer of custom trailers in North America. MAC Trailer now encompasses over 1 million square-feet of facilities, on campuses totaling over 500 hundred acres. Each of the MAC Trailer facilities specialize in different product lines and are outfitted with advanced fabrication and manufacturing equipment.

"The success of MAC Trailer can be attributed to our quality trailers built by hard working people," said Mike Conny, owner of MAC Trailer Enterprises. "Our experienced and knowledgeable sales staff, partnered with an authorized dealer network, promote our trailers across North America. Our philosophy is to learn from our customers and pursue continuous improvement through strong leadership, while providing added value, and outstanding products."

The company has stated that the expansion of MAC LTT Stainless Division will provide nearly 100 jobs in the Mt. Pleasant area, retaining current positions and adding to the roster to better both the company's production capacity as well as contribute to the area's need for jobs. "MAC LTT Stainless Division is focused on healthy growth in our Mt. Pleasant operation," said Jim Maiorana, President of MAC LTT. "We are eager to expand employment opportunities in Michigan with this project made possible with the support from Michigan Community Capital (MCC), PNC, and Huntington Bank."
