Komatsu Establishes Tractor & Equipment Company as a Forestry Distributor in North American Southeast Regions
Bringing greater forestry sales coverage to Alabama, Georgia, and northwest Florida
Komatsu America has officially appointed Tractor & Equipment Company (TEC) as the forestry equipment distributor for Alabama, Georgia, and Florida’s northwest region. This is a logical next step for Komatsu as TEC is already the distributor for these same regions for Komatsu’s construction and mining equipment. TEC will be handling the full line of Komatu’s forestry equipment, including log loaders, track feller bunchers, harvesting/processing heads, and wheeled harvesters.
“Tractor & Equipment Company is an excellent addition to the Komatsu forestry equipment team and will provide us with greater forestry sales coverage in the southeast United States. They have done a great job representing and growing Komatsu’s construction and mining business in this region, and we feel confident that they can replicate that success for forestry.”
- Jim Williams, director, sales and service, forestry, Komatsu
Tractor & Equipment Company was founded in 1943. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, TEC has operations throughout Alabama, Georgia, and northwest Florida. Forestry equipment will be sold and serviced at all of the company’s 20 branch locations.
“We are pleased to be building on our long-term relationship with Komatsu with the addition of their forestry line of equipment. It gives us the opportunity to offer greater value to our forestry customers and to do so with a trusted partner.”
- Dan Stracener, President/CEO, Tractor & Equipment Company
