Freightliner Cascadia truck models will now have a new battery powered HVAC system available as a factory-installed option. The new Battery Powered HVAC system has replaced the previously offered ParkSmart system. Now available, you can order yours today for an impressive 10 hours of cooling or 34 hours of heating to the cab when parked.

Visitors at the recently held 2018 Work Truck Show had the privilege of visiting the Freightliner Trucks booth in order to explore their wide range of truck models. Guests could also explore the powertrain and connectivity solutions that Freightliner Trucks has established in order to meet the needs of vocational and medium-duty applications. The booth also showcased several alternative-fuel solutions, which contributed to making the experience both relative and informative.

Freightliner Trucks will showcase its new Detroit DD8 engine at the 2018 World of Concrete event between Jan. 23 and Jan. 26 in Las Vegas. The engine will be featured alongside other products designed for the vocational market in booth #C5427.

All Freightliner Trucks and Western Star customers with an active Detroit Connect suite of connected vehicle services subscription now have access to the Detroit Connect portal. The portal is a one-stop access-point for all vehicle performance data gathered, transmitted and analyzed by Detroit Connect as well as new and future connectivity services such as Detroit Connect Virtual Technician remote diagnostic service, for Detroit-powered fleets.
