Wheel Loaders for Material Transportation

Wheel loaders, also called front end loaders, use a large bucket to load materials onto trucks and to relocate materials around stockpiles and other job sites. As such, they have many practical landscaping, agricultural, construction, logging, and mining uses. General utility jobs may use a bucket that is only 1 yd3 (cubic yard), while mining and logging jobs may require buckets that are 20 yd3 or more.

Whether you are stockpiling lightweight recycled materials or clearing tree stumps and entire root systems, My Little Salesman has an incredible listing of new and used wheel loaders for sale that can match all of your material transportation needs!

Choosing the Right Wheel Loader for Sale

A medium-sized wheel loader for sale can handle almost any job (aside from heavy duty tasks such as forestry and mining). Medium front end loaders have between 100 to 300 horsepower and more than 30,000 pounds of operational capacity, making them ideal for most crops. If you know that you will carrying loads that are around 30,000 pounds on average, however, then get a larger model, as riding a front end loader at its capacity will increase breakdowns and shorten its overall lifespan.

Getting a larger front end loader than you need is generally a good idea anyway, as the larger models tend to last the longest – just make sure that it can still comfortably operate within the job site without causing damage first! Also, if you are going to be working with dense materials, then you are going to need to find a large front wheel loader for sale.

New vs Used Front End Loaders

Buying a used wheel loader is generally accepted so long as it doesn’t have:

  • Leaky cylinders and hoses
  • Leaks around the engine and the radiator
  • Cracks or welded areas in the framework
  • A large amount of scratches on the front bumper (indicating demolition work)
  • Cuts and cracks in tire sidewall or tread
