Live Oak Fire Department is looking to re-home a rare style rear-mount aerial platform apparatus. This Pierce Dash platform topped with a Pierce manufactured "Sky-Arm" articulating style boom was the first in the region. Pierce Dash with seating for 6, consisting of (5) SCBA seats, (1) Driver air-ride seat. Overall height of vehicle is a reasonable 12' 2". Overall wheelbase is 285" sporting a Tak-4 front suspension. Boosting a 500hp, 12.7 Liter Detroit Series 60 L6, with an Alisson 6-speed transmission, this unit has just the right amount of power. Apparatus has an out-rigger stance of 19' when fully set up for operations, allowing full 100' aerial to be deployed successfully. Unit utilizes a 12' jib to articulate over parapet walls as needed. Also, the bucket on the platform can articulate laterally, positioning the platform for successful elevated rescues.
