Shop Hundreds of New and Used Scrapers

Heavy equipment scrapers are designed to cut into the earth via the hopper (aka "the bowl"), which hydraulically lifts once full so that materials can be transported and ejected from the rear. No matter if you are operating a pull scraper, an elevating scrapper, or any other style, My Little Salesman offers a huge listing of tractor scrapers that can be used in mining, construction, agriculture, and any other application that involves leveling or moving large quantities of earth.

Scraper Types

In general, small and medium-sized scrapers are good for hauls of 3,000 feet or less, but size is not everything in the scraper world. You also must choose the proper type of scraper to get the job done.

  • Pull Scraper – These models have no motor and must pulled by another vehicle. They can be linked together to level out or remove topsoil, and they are good for smaller construction sites and agriculture. The average pull scraper is ideal for hauls of less than 2,000 feet.
  • Elevating Scrapers – Can load themselves without a pusher thanks to a ladder-like conveyor belt inside of the bowl that transports materials to the rear. They’re primarily used to prepare construction sites and for small agriculture jobs involving fine clay, sand, and topsoil.
  • Open Bowl Scrapers – Typically, these models require a vehicle to push from behind in order to properly load, but newer models can be self-loading. They can handle harder materials than the elevating scraper, and they usually only have a single engine, therefore using less fuel than elevating scrappers.
  • Tandem-Powered – Two engines makes these scrapers excellent for steeper sites, with higher-end models able to climb grades of up to 35 percent. They tend to get the job done faster, and the four-wheel drive lets you power through poor conditions that would stop other scrapers, but they can cost more and are more expensive to repair.
