This is a one-of-a-kind 1970 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT Styleside Long Bed truck in near-original condition. This truck has been family owned and garaged the past 50+ years. It was passed down from my father to me and sadly, it is time to see it go to someone who will cherish and take care of it as much as we have. The title is clean and registered in Texas.
The truck runs like a charm, has the original engine with only 55,200 miles, original automatic transmission, all original paint, trim, and interior. If the new owner feels the need to remove the camper shell, the original tailgate and rear window are included and sitting in the camper shell.
The majority of miles on this truck are from the 70s and 80s, when it was primarily used by our family for getting around, hauling our boat, or camping. Since around 1990, it has been kept in storage/garaged and used only for getting routine maintenance done.
In 2020, I had the engine rebuilt because one of the cylinders wasn't perfect after doing a compression test. At this time, I also had electronic ignition added, belts and plugs replaced, and everything else tuned. The receipts are attached for all the work done. Since then, I've only put on 105 miles.
If you want to know why it has a bug shield or camper shell? I wouldn't be able to tell you that as it's the only way I've ever known the truck since I was born (45+ years ago).
I can only assume the front seat is in good condition because there has always been a cover on it.
If you want to know why I'm selling it? It honestly kills me to sell it but it needs to go to someone who can give it more attention, put it in shows, and appreciate it for the piece of history that it is. If money wasn't an object and I had permanent storage for it at no cost, I would absolutely not be selling it.
